A customer recently reached out to us for a custom power solution for a Phantom VEO 640S.
He wanted to power the camera from his existing Gold Mount batteries, which provide approximately 12–14.4V through D-Tap. Since the camera requires a higher voltage, he needed a cable with an integrated 24V DC-DC boost converter.
After checking the requirements with our engineer, we confirmed that we could make the custom cable.
The Final Configuration
D-Tap → 24V DC-DC Boost Converter → 6-Pin Fischer
The converter supports a 12–14.4V input range and provides a regulated 24V output. It is integrated into the cable assembly and housed in a compact box measuring approximately 55 × 35 × 15 mm.
The customer also requested the cable to match the 24 cm / 9.5-inch length of his existing reference cable.
