Professional camera setups often require cables that are not available as standard products. This custom cable was developed for a customer in Germany who needed a reliable LANC Run/Stop connection between a Tilta TT-0511-R side handle and a Z CAM F6.
Customer Requirement
The requested cable configuration was:
- Tilta side: Right-angle 0B 7-pin connector
- Camera side: Straight 2.5mm TRS connector
- Application: LANC Run/Stop control
- Camera: Z CAM F6
- Length: Approx. 50 cm, excluding connectors
The customer specifically preferred a straight 2.5mm connector on the Z CAM F6 side for easier cable routing.
Why This Configuration?
The right-angle 0B 7-pin connector helps keep the cable close to the camera rig, while the straight 2.5mm TRS connector provides a simple connection to the Z CAM F6.
The cable was designed around the customer's actual rig requirements rather than a standard off-the-shelf configuration.
Custom Cable Development
For custom camera cables, connector type, orientation, cable length, and pin assignment all need to be considered together.
In this case, the requested cable length was approximately 50 cm excluding the connectors, allowing the customer to maintain the desired finished cable length after connector installation.
Because the exact pinout for the customer's specific battery-free Tilta handle version could not be fully verified from the available documentation, compatibility needed to be confirmed carefully before production.
